Installing Service Packs
For complete instructions in downloading and installing the required service pack updates ( Service Pack 3 for Windows XP, Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista, .NET 3.5 Framework SP1 ) please see the accompanying Microsoft Documentation. To upgrade to a specific service pack, Generally you will take the following steps:
  • Close all running applications
  • Download and run the installer
  • Respond to any prompts launched by the installer
  • Restart your computer when installation is complete
Usually when the installation of these service packs is completed, the installer will prompt you to restart the computer. It is generally a good idea to restart your computer even if not prompted to do so.

Downloading Remote Desktop Services Icons
Remote Desktop Services Icon Image Once your system meets the requirements for using Microsoft Remote Desktop Services you will want to download the Remote Desktop Services Icons for the Calyx Point™ Demo and the Microsoft Outlook Demo. Each icon is a Remote Desktop Services link that is configured to connect to the correct application. The icon should appear as shown to the right.

Launching Remote Desktop Services Demos
Once you have the icon(s), you just double-click to launch the remote application. The following procedure (and logon credentials) apply for both the Calyx Point™ Demo and the Microsoft Outlook Demo. When you double-click the icon, depending on the security settings on your computer, you may see the following warning:

This is simply stating that there is no registered publisher for this application. Go ahead and click the 'Connect' button to proceed. Once you continue, you will see a login window.

Enter the username and password:
To obtain Login information, please fill out our Login Request Form.
Once you enter the username and password, the remote application should launch on your computer. If you have the .NET 3.5 Framework SP1 installed on your computer, you will be able to print documents from these remote applications on your local printer without any configuration required.
